He graduated from <strong>Ege University<\/strong> Faculty of Medicine, which he entered in <strong>1986<\/strong>, in <strong>1992<\/strong>. In the same year, he began his residency training in the Department of Ophthalmology at <strong>Ege University<\/strong> Faculty of Medicine Hospital.<\/p><p>After becoming a specialist in <strong>1997<\/strong>, he continued working at the same clinic as a specialist physician, focusing on Retinal Diseases and Vitreoretinal Surgery. He further developed his expertise in this field through training periods in Antwerp, Belgium (<strong>Dr. Zivanovic Clinic<\/strong>), Frankfurt, Germany (Dr. Eckardt Clinic), and Duisburg, Germany. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in <strong>2004<\/strong> and Professor in <strong>2010<\/strong>. In <strong>2013<\/strong>, he left his position at the Department of Ophthalmology at <strong>Ege University<\/strong> Faculty of Medicine Hospital.<\/p><p>He is currently an active member of the Vitreoretinal Surgery Unit, Medical Retina Unit, and Ocular Traumatology Unit of the <strong>Turkish Ophthalmology Association<\/strong>, as well as a member of the European Vitreoretinal Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He completed his specialization training, which he started in <strong>2004<\/strong>, in <strong>2009<\/strong> at <strong>Ege University<\/strong>.<\/p><p>After completing his specialization, he fulfilled his compulsory service at Burdur Bucak State Hospital. Until <strong>2014<\/strong>, he worked for <strong>2 years<\/strong> at Atat\u00fcrk Training and Research Hospital affiliated with \u0130zmir Katip \u00c7elebi University.<\/p><p>He worked at Bolu Training and Research Hospital until <strong>2016<\/strong>. Between <strong>2016<\/strong> and <strong>2019<\/strong>, he served at \u00c7i\u011fli Regional Training Hospital.<\/p><p>He has a good command of English, French, and Balkan languages.
