1. Mr Georgios Orfaniotis
Mr Orfaniotis has worked as an NHS Consultant for 5 years in two of the largest hospitals in London, The Royal London Hospital and Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals, performing complex reconstructive surgery in the Head and Neck area.
Georgios is one of the very few surgeons in the UK who has undertaken 3 years of advanced international fellowship training before taking his Consultant role in 2017. This included senior fellow positions in world-renowned Plastic surgery units in Taichung – Taiwan, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital – London, and the Royal Melbourne Hospital – Australia. He consolidated his specialist aesthetic training with a prestigious aesthetic fellowship at the Wellington Hospital – London.
He graduated from medical school in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2002 and after completing his core surgical training he served as a doctor in the Greek army for 1 year. He moved to the UK in 2006 where he completed 10 years of higher plastic surgery training. Georgios worked as a registrar in several pioneering UK hospitals including Canniesburn Plastic surgery Unit – Glasgow, Queen Victoria hospital – East Grinstead, St Thomas’ hospital – London, and Addenbrookes hospital – Cambridge.
Mr Orfaniotis has been recognised internationally as invited faculty and has won travelling fellowship awards from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Georgios has also travelled to Ethiopia as a volunteer expert surgeon to perform life-changing reconstructive surgery to people who suffered disfiguring facial deformities. He has a keen interest in teaching and innovation and enjoys clinical research, with over 30 published articles in peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals.
2. Dr. Mark Gittos
Dr Gittos qualified from the Auckland University Medical School in 1984. He completed his plastic surgery training in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, France and the UK.
In 1996 he became a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Saint Andrews Centre for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Essex. He helped to establish the Basildon Breast Unit and pioneer breast reconstruction and mastectomy techniques after breast cancer.
Mark obtained his Plastic Surgery registration in the UK in 1996. On return, his New Zealand re-registration was completed in 2009.
Dr Gittos spends time instructing other surgeons and assisting charities like Interplast perform surgeries in developing countries. He volunteered in 2016 for Interplast, an organisation that provides Plastic Surgery for populations that lack adequate medical and surgical care.

4. Dr. Edmund Fitzgerald O’Connor
Mr Edmund Fitzgerald O’Connor is a fully accredited specialist in Plastic surgery, employed as a substantive Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts – specialising in complex microsurgical reconstruction.
He caters for private patients at HCA The Shard and St Thomas’ Hospital for Reconstruction, Cosmetic and Skin procedures.
Having completed his UK medical degree at St George’s Hospital, London, in 2004 with Merit awards, he went on to be one of only four doctors accepted onto the prestigious Academic foundation surgical training programme in London.
Four years later, following a highly competitive national selection process, he ranked 1st out of 275 applicants for Plastic surgery training. During his Plastic surgery training in London he spent time at Guys & St Thomas’, the Royal London and the St Andrew’s centre for burns and plastic surgery in Chelmsford.
Following completion of his specialist Plastic surgery training in the UK, Mr Fitzgerald O’Connor completed a reconstructive, aesthetic and microsurgery fellowship at The Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia which led to him being appointed there as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
He returned to London in 2018 in order to help build a new microsurgical service at King’s College Hospital London, the leading trauma centre in the South of England. Mr Fitzgerald O’Connor is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the General Medical Council.
5. Dr. Elena Prousskaia
After completing eight years of training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Elena successfully undertook three years of one of the UK’s most prestigious Fellowships in Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction and Breast Oncoplastic Surgery at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals in London, Manchester University Hospital, Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford and The Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
This was followed by a further nine months of travelling fellowships abroad, in a number of world renowned centres, including: The University Hospital in Ghent (Belgium), Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona (Spain), Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore (India), The European Institute of Oncology in Milan (Italy) and The University Hospital in Tokyo (Japan), where she learnt about the latest, international advances in Plastic Surgery.
She holds many international awards and certificates, specializing in Microsurgery, Breast, Lymphoedema and all aspects of Cosmetic Surgery.
