2. Dr. Sibel Ulusan
Dr. Sibel Ulusan, one of Turkey’s first hair transplant doctors, is a hair transplant specialist who has gained international recognition with her natural hairline design and the channel-opening technique she patented under her own name.
Dr. Sibel Ulusan has performed hair transplant procedures for more than 4,000 patients from 45 different countries around the world. She is also a member of the The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and contributes to the advancement of the global hair restoration field by meeting with leading hair transplant doctors in Europe and the United States each year and presenting the methods she has developed. Through these contributions, she successfully represents both Turkey and Izmir in this field.
3. Dr. Zafer Ulusan
He graduated from the Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1983 and obtained his specialization in internal medicine in 1989. He served as a hospital administrator for 30 years and was the first to elevate a Turkish hospital to “Lean Hospital” standards and have it officially certified.
Later, he opened his own private hair transplant clinic in Izmir, where he began performing oxygen- and artificial intelligence–assisted hair transplantation. In addition to hair transplantation, he is also one of the pioneers of regenerative medicine aimed at strengthening existing hair.

Ülker AKISKA, the founder of Serena Aesthetic Center, was born on November 20, 1946, in Çorum. After completing her primary, secondary, and high school education, she graduated from the Munich Vocational College of Cosmetology in Germany (Schwabinger Berufsfachhochschule für Kosmetik im BDK – Franziska Teebken). Ülker Akiska worked as an assistant at a dermatology clinic in Munich for two years and later conducted studies on aesthetics and weight management for 20 years.
After returning to Turkey, she obtained permission from the Ministry of Health and Social Assistance and founded the Serena Aesthetic Healthy Weight Loss Center in Kızılay, Ankara in 1983. The center consisted of a team including specialist doctors, nutritionists, dermatologists, psychologists, physiotherapists, senior nurses, and many professional aestheticians. She later opened a second branch in Çankaya and a third branch in Tunalıhilmi.
Ülker Akiska also supported the establishment of the Aesthetics and Skin Care Department at Ankara Yenimahalle Girls’ Vocational High School. After the department was opened, she voluntarily began working there as an instructor.
In 1993, she received an offer from NUTRA SLIM, the Turkish representative of the American Inches-A-Weigh Weight Loss Centers. Following this offer, she opened the NUTRA SLIM branch in Alsancak. Later, on January 1, 2000, she opened the second NUTRA SLIM branch in Karşıyaka–Bostanlı.
In 2001, she left NUTRA SLIM and rebranded her own brand as NUTRA SYSTEM. While SERENA AESTHETIC BEAUTY CENTER has been providing services in İzmir since 1993, it has also operated in Ankara. As of 2002, it resumed its services again in Alsancak.
According to the new regulations introduced by the Ministry of Health in 2010, the center continues its operations as the Private SERENA Polyclinic.
