Specialist Dentist Merve Özkan Akagündüz graduated from Edirne Anatolian Teacher Training High School and then began her master’s education at Istanbul University (Çapa) Faculty of Dentistry. She completed her education in 2012 and worked as a general dentist in Istanbul for one year. In 2014, she ranked 28th in the Dentistry Specialization Examination (DUS) and started her specialization training in the Department of Orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry of Süleyman Demirel University.
In 2019, she received the title of Orthodontic Specialist and was appointed to the Çorlu Oral and Dental Health Center, where she served between 2019 and 2022. During this period, she also contributed significantly to the healthcare system by taking active roles during the COVID-19 pandemic. Between 2022 and 2024, Specialist Dentist Merve Özkan Akagündüz continued to work at a private clinic in Istanbul and has specialized in adult orthodontics, early-stage orthodontic appliances, clear aligner treatments, and orthognathic surgery. She is a member of the Turkish Orthodontic Society.

Gökhan Dokumacıgil completed his primary and high school education in Gaziantep and graduated in 2014 from the Faculty of Dentistry at Cumhuriyet University in Sivas. After graduation, he began practicing dentistry in a private dental polyclinic in Istanbul, primarily focusing on restorative dentistry, endodontics, and crown and bridge applications.
In 2015, he took the Dentistry Specialization Examination and was accepted into the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry of Marmara University, where he began his specialization training. During this period, he delivered numerous poster and oral presentations both nationally and internationally.
In 2017, he received the award for “Best Aesthetic Case Poster Presentation” at the congress of the Restorative Dentistry Association. In 2019, he was awarded “Best Case Poster Presentation” at the 9th ConsEuro Congress held in Berlin. In the same year, he defended his thesis titled “Comparison of the Bond Strength of Adhesives Containing Different Solvents” and earned the title of Specialist in Restorative Dentistry.
After completing his specialization training, Gökhan Dokumacıgil continued his career in Istanbul as a specialist dentist. He has worked on numerous cases in areas such as aesthetic smile design, 3D digital restorations, composite and ceramic veneer applications, root canal treatments, and porcelain restorations.
In 2022, he spent six months in London to improve his communication skills with international patients. He has academic articles published in national and international journals focusing on aesthetic composite restorations and minimally invasive dental treatments.

8. Dr. Çağdaş Kışlaoğlu (Prosthodontist)
Dr. Çağdaş Kışlaoğlu began his education at Eastsheen Primary School in London, where he completed his primary school studies. He then graduated from high school with dual diplomas from İstek Private Semiha Şakir High School and California Piedmont High School.
For his higher education, he chose the Faculty of Dentistry at Marmara University and graduated from there. After graduation, he worked in the Department of Prosthodontics at Marmara University.
After 2000, he focused his work on cosmetic dentistry, CAD/CAM dental treatments, and intelligent smile design. He took part in significant projects in the field of prosthetic dentistry and earned his PhD degree in 2005 with his research on the fracture resistance and marginal adaptation of zirconium bridges.
Since 2009, he has contributed as a dentist to health programs broadcast on national and international television channels. Since 2011, he has been serving as a part-time assistant professor at the Department of Oral Health Sciences and Technologies at Beykent University.
Dr. Kışlaoğlu is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the Computer Aided Dentistry Academy (CADA). As a certified CEREC trainer, he also gives seminars and training courses for dentists both in Turkey and abroad on dental aesthetics and The Smart Smile Design concept.

Born in 1964 in Sarıyer, Fikret Altan is originally from Samsun. He completed his high school education at Kabataş Boys’ High School in 1981 and successfully earned his master’s degree from the Faculty of Dentistry at Istanbul University (Çapa) in 1987, receiving the title of “Dentist.”
In 1989, he completed his military service as a “Dental Lieutenant” at the Aydın Gendarmerie Battalion Command.
Between 1989 and 1991, he established the Dental Department at the Beyoğlu/İstiklal Branch of the Turkish Red Crescent, working briefly as a “Dispenser Dentist.” He then served as a dentist at Reşitpaşa Dispensary and later provided dental services at his private clinic on Abide-i Hürriyet Street in Şişli. Over the years, he further developed his expertise in dentistry, implants, zirconium, and orthodontics, conducting numerous professional studies in these fields.
Since 1991, he has been serving his patients at his private clinic in Reşitpaşa, Sarıyer, Istanbul, the region where he was born.
