1. Dr. Funda Yazıcı Erol, MD
Dr. Funda Yazıcı Erol graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2004. She completed her specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology between 2005 – 2010 at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine.
Following her specialization training, she worked at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic of Atatürk Hospital. Having continued her professional experience in the private sector for many years, she practices with modern approaches and individualized treatment methods in the field of women’s health.
She currently provides medical services at her private clinic in Antalya Muratpaşa.
2. Dr. Hakan Bilgesoy, MD
Dr. Hakan Bilgesoy completed his medical education at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine between 2009 – 2015. He then successfully completed his specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology between 2016 – 2020 at Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital.
He began his professional career as a general practitioner in 2015 at İslahiye State Hospital. During his residency, he worked as an assistant physician at Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital. Between 2020 – 2024, he served as a specialist physician at Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Women’s, Obstetrics and Children’s Diseases Hospital.
Giving importance to professional development, he is a member of the Antalya Medical Chamber and the Turkish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics. He has received certified training in many important areas such as ACOGS genital aesthetics, mechanical hysteroscopy, ISUOG ultrasonography, and neonatal resuscitation.
He currently provides medical services at Medical Park Hospital in Antalya Muratpaşa.
3. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Işıl Köleli
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Işıl Köleli graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2004. She then worked as a resident doctor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul Zeynep Kamil Training and Research Hospital between 2005 – 2010.
Between 2011 – 2012, she fulfilled her compulsory service at Malatya State Hospital, and in 2012, she worked as an observer physician in the IVF department of Ankara Private HRS Women’s Hospital.
In 2013, she received advanced training in laparoscopy and urogynecology at the Urogynecology Clinic of Saint Joseph Hospital in Germany.
In 2014, she established the Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Department at İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center. In this field, she has performed surgeries such as urinary incontinence, uterine prolapse, vaginal tightening, and genital aesthetic procedures. Many of her scientific articles on the outcomes of these operations have been published in internationally reputable journals. She has also delivered hundreds of lectures to obstetrics and gynecology residents and medical students.
In 2019, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor.
In 2022, she played an active role in the establishment of the IVF Unit at Antalya Training and Research Hospital, where she served both as the unit coordinator and as a trainer for resident doctors.
In the same year, she established the Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Outpatient Clinic within Antalya Training and Research Hospital, creating a specialized center where patients with conditions such as uterine prolapse and urinary incontinence can access advanced diagnostic and treatment services.
She currently provides medical services at her private clinic in Antalya Muratpaşa.
4. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sakıncı
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sakıncı ranked among the top candidates in the university entrance exam in 1994 and was admitted to his first and only choice, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. He graduated from the same faculty in 2001 as the second-ranked student.
In the same year, he successfully passed the Medical Specialty Examination with distinction and began his specialization training at his first choice, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hacettepe University.
He became a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006. During the final year of his residency, he worked as a specialist in assisted reproductive techniques and the IVF unit.
In 2006, he placed third in Turkey in the First National Gynecology and Obstetrics Competition organized by Türkiye Klinikleri. During his approximately two-year compulsory service at Elmadağ State Hospital, he also worked part-time at the IVF Unit of Ankara HRS Hospital.
In 2008, he began his academic career at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ondokuz Mayıs University, where he conducted advanced studies on gynecological cancers, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence surgeries, and successfully performed numerous complex operations referred from regional hospitals. During this period, he delivered hundreds of lectures to obstetrics and gynecology residents and medical students.
In February 2011, he joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine as a faculty member. In 2012, he spent six months at Gülhane Military Medical Academy focusing on IVF treatments.
In 2012, he received the second prize for best paper at the Turkish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics Congress, as well as the second prize for best oral presentation at the Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine Congress. In 2016, he was awarded the TJOD Rising Star Award and obtained the title of Associate Professor.
During his tenure at Akdeniz University, he taught students and residents across all areas of obstetrics and gynecology, performed surgeries for complex cases referred from surrounding hospitals, and frequently supported colleagues in other hospitals during postpartum emergencies.
He has served as an instructor in numerous live surgery and cadaver courses in genital aesthetics, cosmetic gynecology, and urogynecology for specialist physicians. He is a board member of the Pelvic Floor and Cosmetic Gynecology Association (PET-KOZ).
He has contributed to increasing national expertise in scarless minimally invasive surgeries and natural orifice surgeries, delivering seminars at many national congresses. He has performed procedures such as vaginal hysterectomy, myoma, and endometriosis surgeries using fully closed techniques and shared these methods through live surgeries with colleagues.
He developed the vaginal ureter dissection technique and introduced it to the literature, presenting it at an international workshop he organized at Akdeniz University. He has also presented this technique at the American Urogynecologic Society Congress and numerous national congresses.
He has participated in many educational meetings and seminars both nationally and internationally and has authored more than 50 international scientific publications. In 2018, he conducted studies at Yale University (New Haven, Connecticut, USA) on genital aesthetics, urogynecology, urinary incontinence, and prolapse surgeries. He has provided training and performed live surgeries at numerous courses and congresses on genital aesthetics and advanced laparoscopic techniques.
His special areas of interest include fully closed vaginal surgeries, genital aesthetic surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, scarless operations, myoma, cyst, endometriosis, and cancer surgeries; assisted reproductive techniques, IVF applications, and high-risk pregnancies.
He currently provides medical services at his private clinic in Antalya Muratpaşa.
5. Dr. Ediz Karataş, MD
Dr. Ediz Karataş is an experienced physician specialized in women’s health and obstetrics, combining his professional knowledge and expertise with the most up-to-date practices of modern medicine. After graduating from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, which he entered in 2010, he completed his specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ankara Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Training and Research Hospital. During his residency, he focused on the follow-up of both normal and high-risk pregnancies, labor management, infertility, and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries.
Throughout his career, he has worked at prestigious healthcare institutions such as Bodrum State Hospital and Acıbadem Bodrum Medical Center. As of 2025, he has started accepting patients at Private Akdeniz Health Foundation (ASV) Yaşam Hospital in Antalya.
Dr. Ediz Karataş’s areas of expertise include pregnancy follow-up, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, infertility evaluation, genital aesthetics, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, polycystic ovary syndrome, and gynecological operations.
