This list has been prepared based on the following criteria for specialists actively practicing in the field of rhinoplasty (nose aesthetics) in İzmir: specialty verification, years of professional experience, percentage of surgical focus, board certification status, and academic publication history.
The physicians’ specialty information and active practice status have been verified through official records; association and professional membership information has been cross-checked with the relevant institutional registries.

Doctors performing rhinoplasty in İzmir have been listed from the Alsancak, Konak, Bornova, and Karşıyaka districts.
Who Prepares the Lists?
Doctor lists are prepared by the Doktoron Medical Editorial Board. It is an editorial board established to ensure the scientific accuracy and up-to-date nature of all health content published on the site.
The content is developed based on current clinical guidelines, international peer-reviewed journals, and evidence-based medicine sources.

Prof. Dr. Murat Songu was born in İzmir in 1976. In 1994, he enrolled in the Ege University Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) diseases at Celal Bayar University.
In 2005, he conducted studies in rhinology and otologic surgery in Bordeaux, France, working with Dr. Guy Lacher at the St. Augustin Clinic and with Prof. Vincent Darrouzet at Bordeaux University. In 2010, he ranked third in Turkey in the Ministry of Health’s national written examination for Chief, Deputy Chief, and Chief Assistant positions, and he ranked first in the oral examination for Chief Assistant, after which he was appointed to the teaching staff at the İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital ENT Clinic.
In 2014, he was awarded the title of “Associate Professor of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases” following an oral examination held at Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Hospital. With a scholarship from the Turkish Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, he worked in 2016 at the Robotic Surgery Unit of UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) in Pittsburgh, USA. In 2021, he was awarded the title of “Professor of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases.”
Prof. Dr. Songu has more than 100 international and national publications, numerous scientific presentations, and has contributed to 8 international and 9 national book chapters. He has been invited as a speaker to nearly 100 scientific events. His work has received more than 1,700 international citations, and he is among the Turkish scientists with the highest H-index and i10-index values.
In addition to his scientific contributions, he has served as an associate editor, section editor, editorial board member, and reviewer for many scientific journals. He has also contributed to the training of hundreds of ENT residents by working for more than 10 years in one of the busiest hospitals in Turkey.

4. Dr. Fırat Demirtaşoğlu, MD
